Clean & Brite is a one-step maintenance cleaner for
all your exterior wood surfaces. This concentrated gel is
a solution of citric acid and mild detergents. It can be
diluted with water to the ratio appropriate for your own
specific project.
Clean
& Brite will remove dirt, mold, mildew, and mild graying
from your wood surfaces. It is the perfect choice for maintenance
cleaning of decks, siding, fences, and log homes. Clean
& Brite is also recommended to prepare new wood surfaces.
New decking and smooth wood siding are especially prone
to mill glaze, a problem where the surface fibers of the
wood become compacted during manufacturing. This mill glaze
must be removed in order for a wood finish such as Timber Pro UV to be able to penetrate.
Many
people believe that bleach is the best choice to clean a
wood surface. However, bleach can mar the wood surface and
turn the wood an unnaturally light tone. Clean & Brite
has many advantages to bleach-based products. It is biodegradable
and will not harm nearby plants. It gently cleans the wood
and brightens it back to a natural wood tone.
