Application
Procedure
Apply by sprayer, brush, roller, paint pad, or dip tank.
Flood coat and then smooth out all runs, drips, or puddles.
2-3 coats recommended for rough sawn siding or fencing.
For maximum protection, especially on siding, Timber-Tek
Clear UV Topcoat recommended for a third coat.
New, smooth wood may only absorb 1-2 coats.
Coverage
Coverage always depends on age, moisture level, and porosity
of the wood.
Rough sawn cedar siding or shingles: 100-150 square feet
per gallon net coverage
(allow for 2 coats of semi-transparent stain and 1 clear
topcoat)
Cedar shake roofs: 75-100 square feet per gallon net (1
heavy flood coat)
Smooth cedar, fir, pine, or redwood: 150-175 square feet
per gallon net (2-3 coats)
Exotic woods, mahogany, ironwood, ipei, Port Orford cedar:
200-250 square feet
per gallon net (2 coats)
Maintenance
Lightly pressure-wash wood or scrub with soft bristle brush
and mild detergent as needed. Clean horizontal surfaces
more often than vertical surfaces. Apply maintenance coats
as needed to thoroughly cleaned wood. Stripping wood prior
to maintenance coating is not necessary.

Extinguishing Media:
Foam, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or any Class B extinguishing agent. Water may be suitable as an extinguishing media, and helpful in keeping adjacent containers cool.

Skin Contact: Repeated exposure and washing may irritate the skin.
Inhalation: Excessive exposure to vapors or spray mists may cause irritation of the respiratory tract
Eye Contact: May cause upper respiratory irritation.
Carcinogenicity: This material does not contain 0.1% or more of any substance which is listed as a carcinogen by NTP, TARC or OSHA.
First Aid: Skin: Wash with soap and water immediately.
Eyes: Flush with large quantities of water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: If ingested get medical attention immediately.

SECTION 07: SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES
Leaks or spills: Wear protective equipment during cleanup. Ventilate area. Keep spectators away. Floor may be slippery. Contain spill with inert material or absorbent such as sawdust, vermiculite or sand. Do not allow material to enter drain or waterways.
Waste Disposal: Allow the absorbed material to dry and landfill the solids in accordance with current federal, state, provincial and local regulations.
SECTION 08: SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Clothing: Long sleeved cover-alls, rubber gloves, goggles and safety shoes are recommended.
Ventilation: General ventilation is required during normal use. Local ventilation may be required during certain operations which generate fumes or spray mists.
Respiratory: A canister type respirator may be necessary if spray mists or fumes are generated. A NIOSH approved organic vapor mask with a dust/mist pre-filter is recommended.

Avoid prolonged or repeated inhalation of heated vapors or spray mists. Keep away from heat or open flame. Avoid all skin contact.
