Prevent Rapid Moisture Loss
on Newly Cut Logs

Log End Sealer will reduce the severity of checking and warping

In the case of newly cut logs, Timber Pro recommends the use of Log End Sealer to prevent the rapid moisture loss, which results in checking and warping.

The following application procedure is recommended:

• Assure that there is no dirt built up on the log ends prior to application.
• Apply the log end seal heavily by brush roller or spray. Apply one or two coats as needed.
• Allow proper drying of 16 hours between coats.

Note: Once the logs are ready to be finished with a coating the log end seal needs to be ground off, as it will prevent penetration of the final finish.
